Marling School is celebrating its best ever A Level results with a whopping 43% of exams at the highest A*- A grades including 16% at A* which is well above national figures. The percentage of grades at A*-B was 69% and the pass rate was 99%.

A large number of students exceeded their predicted grades including 6 students who achieved A* in every subject, 31 students achieved 3 A grade passes or better and nearly a third of students achieving at least 1 A grade. Most students have gone on to secure places at their first choice universities including many of the highly selective universities.

Dr Stuart Wilson, Headteacher, said: 'I was very proud to see the boys open their A level results today and delighted to be able to celebrate with them. A level study is incredibly hard work and this was the first cohort to go through a fully reformed set of A levels which brings new challenges. As always, Marling students rose to the challenge and did brilliantly well. I am delighted for them and the staff who have worked so hard to support them, both academically and pastorally.'

Marling Sixth Form looks forward to welcoming a new intake of students into its co-educational sixth form in September.
