Geographers Explore Selsley Common

As part of their A Level Geography course, Year12 students enhanced their understanding of fieldwork by applying theory to real-world settings. This preparation will aid their NEA in Swansea later this year.

The physical investigation focused on infiltration rates along a hill slope, collecting data on soil moisture, landscape relief, vegetation cover, and canopy cover. The human investigation involved an urban enquiry on two contrasting localities within Stroud. All pupils conducted themselves professionally and showed true enthusiasm for the discipline. Mr Smith and Miss Welch provided essential support, ensuring the trip’s success.
