Biologists Bring Home the Awards

We had 29 A Level biologists take part in the British Biology Olympiad (20 Year 12 students and 9 Year 13s).  The British Biology Olympiad is designed for year 13s and is a competition run in conjunction with the Royal Society of Biology. It aims to stimulate students with an interest in biology to expand and extend their talent, and to be suitably rewarded with publicly recognised certificates.

In total over 10,000 students from more than 700 schools worldwide took part in this year’s competition with our students receiving these awards: 1 Gold, 10 Silvers, 7 Bronzes, 4 Highly Commended, 5 Commended and 2 for Participation. Congratulations to Josh (Year 12) for achieving a Gold award, and to all of the year 12s who did particularly well!  We are very proud of all those that took part.
